BIOGRAPHY
BIRGIT RATTENBORG WISE: COSTUME DESIGNER.
Birgit Rattenborg Wise designs costumes for theater primarily in the Chicago
area. She designed the original Goodman Theatre production of Death of a
Salesman, with Brian Dennehy, in 1998.
Her other designs at the Goodman includes The Story, Moonlight and
Magnolias, Proof, The Play About The Baby, By the Music of the Spheres, The
Rose Tattoo, The Gift Horse, Blue Surge, Drowning Crow, The Amen Corner, A
Raisin in the Sun, Spinning Into Butter, Blues for an Alabama Sky, A Touch
of the Poet, Gertrude Stein: Each One As She May, Brutality of Fact, Wings
and Spunk.
Other venues include the Steppenwolf and Victory Gardens Theaters in
Chicago, the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, the Joseph Papp Public Theater in
New York, the Huntington Theater in Boston, the Ahmanson Theatre in Los
Angeles and the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.
