BIOGRAPHY
SHANE
ATTWOOLL Whilst originally from South Wales, he studied at Rose Bruford
School of Speech and Drama in London. His first professional stage
appearance was at The Royal Opera House in Trevor Nunn's celebrated version
of "PORGY AND BESS". Most recently he had the pleasure of playing opposite
Brendan Gleeson as REYNAULD'S TEMPLAR KNIGHT in Ridley Scott's new epic
"KINGDOM OF HEAVEN". Other film includes the leading role of BUTO in "THIS
FILTHY EARTH", Andrew Kotting's ground-breaking adaptation of Emile Zola's
"La Terre", OTTO in "MANOLO", AL in "PORGY AND BESS" and McSWEEN in "CLEANSHEET".
His TV appearances include Channel 4's forthcoming "THE GHOST SQUAD",
"MIDSOMER MURDERS" (ITV), "THE COMMANDER" (ITV), "THE BRIEF" (ITV), three
series of HTV's award winning drama "NUTS AND BOLTS", Irvine Welsh's "DOSE"
(BBC), "THE BILL" (ITV), "SPOOKS" (BBC), and "WITHOUT MOTIVE" (HTV). Theatre
roles include Zola's "NANA", Lesley O'Neil's northern trilogy "TITTLE
TATTLE", the Falklands drama "TAKEN OUT", and world premieres of "FRANCO'S
BASTARD" and " PAST AWAY" with SGRIPT CYMRU. Musical theatre experience
encompasses three years as THE BIG BOPPER in "THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY" at
London's Victoria Palace, in Toronto, and on tour in the UK, "STAND BY YOUR
MAN", "HAPPY DAYS", "SNAPSHOTS AND ILLUMINATIONS" and the British premiere
of John Adam's opera "I WAS LOOKING AT THE CEILING AND THEN I SAW THE SKY". |
