BIOGRAPHY
DOUGLAS
HENSHALL has starred in many theatre productions, including the role of
John Proctor in Arthur Miller's The Crucible at The Crucible,
Sheffield, Dawn in Malibu at the Hampstead Theatre, the National
Theatre's production of Tom Stoppard's The Coast of Utopia directed
by Trevor Nunn, American Buffalo at the Young Vic, 900 Oneonta
at the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith and The Life of Stuff at the Donmar
Warehouse directed by Matthew Warchus.
Douglas has had many starring roles at the Royal Shakespeare Company
including The Devil is an Ass, directed by Matthew Warchus, The
Relapse and The Painter of Dishonour. Douglas has also appeared
in many television roles including Frances Tuesday (ITV), Levin in
Anna Karenina, Loving You, Kid in the Corner (Channel Four),
The Strange Case of Sherlock Holmes and Conan Doyle (BBC),
Pychos (Channel Four), Gentlemen's Relish, and Crossing the
Floor, which won an Emmy Award in 1997 for Best Drama.
